At Barneys New York, an iconic fashion brand, we are looking for a passionate and creative Fashion Designer to join our team. As a Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and producing cutting edge fashion designs. You will be working closely with our creative team and collaborating with outside vendors to develop new and innovative designs.The ideal candidate for this role should possess a strong knowledge of fashion trends and have a keen eye for detail. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and has an enthusiasm for fashion that will enable them to come up with creative ideas and solutions. If you are a highly motivated individual who loves fashion and has a knack for creating stylish pieces, then this is the role for you.The successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or a related field, along with at least 3 years of experience in the fashion industry. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

-Develop cutting edge fashion designs
-Collaborate with creative team members and outside vendors to create new and innovative designs
-Stay up-to-date with the latest fashion trends
-Analyze customer needs and create collections that meet their demands
-Produce technical sketches and specs for each design
-Present designs to upper management and make necessary adjustments
-Manage the production of the designs and ensure they are completed on time and within budget
-Create detailed reports on the progress of each design
-Maintain a high level of professionalism and quality control throughout the design process
